Pointless Daggers are a rocking alternative/ punk band based out of Naarm (Melbourne), Australia. Think The Hives meets Hole meets The Gits meets Joan Jett - yep, they’re a bit of a rock’n’roll monster mash but we think you’ll love ‘em! With Josie Jette on vocals and rhythm guitar bringing her Courtney Love/ PJ Harvey style vocal to the fore, the rest of the band focus on serving you up some loud and sharp punk rock goodness! On lead guitar is the amazing Tom Kosmas (Double Pumper and ex Cyclone Diablo and Darkest Dawn), who brings the extra pepper to Pointless Dagger’s songs with razor sharp melodic riffs and solos designed to give you chills. On bass bringing the groovy thunder is Ruari Currin (ex Fuck Ups) and on drums Lisa Daggers brings the heat and the beat that keeps them in line. 

Pointless Daggers first came together in early 2026, fulfilling vocalist Josie’s lifelong obsession with writing music and starting a punk band. Luckily she just happened to find the perfect lovelable larrikins to do this with! The Pointless Daggers philosphy is no egos, no bullsh*t, have fun and above all be loud and it seems to be serving them pretty well so far. They recorded their first studio release, a 4-track EP titled We Turned Out OK in May 2026 and have started making themselves known on the local live music scene.
